I think the issue of shootings as a phenomenon is secondary, or even tertiary. To me, the film’s central and most meaningful theme is individual values, and how people tend to place themselves in a morally superior position by acting as judges of others. Do we judge because something was wrong, or do we judge because judging makes us feel good? Considering that the other three characters DID do terrible things.
