They Cloned Tyrone
The first 10 minutes set the tone right there. I was honestly not expecting that plot twist. A lot of the stuff in this movie is pretty much what we see every day on our feeds. It's like the writers took all the theories they saw and turned them into something awesome. The scene with the fried chicken makes me think of how everyone went wild when the Popeyes chicken sandwich came out. Don’t know how this went under the rader for me, this was actually good.

The Silence of the Lambs
The moment Hopkins entered the screen…chills man. Everything from the beginning to the end was perfect. There are times where it felt slow, but you still feel tense while watching. The close-ups were definitely some of my favorite shots in the film. The moment you find out she is in Buffalo Bill's house was really tense; I felt super uneasy. So glad I waited to watch this on the big screen.

My Father's Shadow
"Everything is sacrifice. You just have to pray you don't sacrifice the wrong thing." This was so devastating and beautiful. The last 20 minutes seemed like a quiet moment before everything got crazy. This movie reminds me of the stories my parents told me of them growing up during the Liberian Civil War.

On the Silver Globe
"So the days pass, and I ask myself whether one is not hypnotized as a child by a silver globe, by life, and whether this is living". One of the bizzare films I've ever seen. You can really understand the vision the director had in mind while you watch. The story can be a bit confusing sometimes, but with all the chaos going on, you hardly notice it. I can totally imagine this as a play. The visuals were really like viewing pieces of art. Wow, what an ending.

Mrs. Doubtfire

Michael
To be honest, critics might have exaggerated their opinions about this movie a bit. Jafeer and Colman did amazing. Considering what was missing, they did well with what they had. That last couple minutes felt like a concert film. I do love how in depth they went into the Off the Wall era. This is everything you expect from a music biopic.

Fight Club
“Every word you read of this useless fine print is another second off your life.” David Fincher, you created a freaking masterpiece. I can’t believe i wanted so long to watch this movie. Every second felt so amazing that I wished it would never finish. That plot twist was unexpected, you should’ve seen my face. Such a perfect ending.

Little Miss Sunshine
“Because a real loser is someone who's so afraid of not winning they don't even try.” One of those movies that really makes you feel inspired. That moment when Dwayne discovered he was colorblind is just...wow. Such a sensational cast.

Don't Look Now
It started off strong then went downhill from there. There were some interesting moments, but it was still kind of dull. The ending was the only part that was interesting.

Castello Cavalcanti

Inland Empire
I'm super curious about what David Lynch was thinking when he created this. Felt like i was going crazy while watching this. Certain scenes felt like a never ending cycle. Lastly, The soundtrack was amazing.

Bottle Rocket
Can we get Owen Wilson back in the writing room?

Killer of Sheep
The idea of trying to find joy in a poor environment. That opening set the tone right away. Charles Burnett, you cooked with this one. Every song was used so perfectly. Certain shots felt more like a documentary because of how real it felt. Honestly, one of my favorite watch this year.

Burn After Reading
The trailer didn't really fit the kind of movie this was. Almost every character was unlikable except Chad & Ozzie, which was surprisingly because he still kinda unlikable as well. The story seemed to be going well for the first few minutes, but then it quickly became chaotic and ended up with a lot of plot holes.

The Lion King
“So whenever you feel alone, just remember that those kings will always be there to guide you. And so will I.“ One of the best movie opening ever. When I was a kid, I played this soundtrack so much that it got worn out.

25th Hour
Spike's most underrated movie yet. Very different from his other films but it worked. The story was a bit boring in some places, but other parts made up for it. Philip Seymour Hoffman did amazing. I honestly get why he thought his girlfriend ratted on him, but why stay with her? The plot twist was finding out that the fat guy was the one to snitch on him; he looked so relaxed. The “fuck everybody” scene was the highlight moment in the filmfor me. Certain callbacks to 9/11 was interesting. Lastly, that subplot with Jacob and his student was so unnecessary and added nothing to the plot.

Charade
NOW, that how you reveal akiller.Such a good mix of twists and surprises. The train chase scene is perfection. I kinda love how the villains look like they came right out of an old cartoon. The chemistry was everything. This was honestly such a fun watch.

Marriage Story
"I fell in love with him two seconds after I saw him. And I'll never stop loving him, even though it doesn't make sense anymore" The film starts with love and end with love. Both stars performance were so amazing. I honestly thought they would get back together at the end. That argument scene is really intense to watch, but it's something I can enjoy repeatedly because it was so well done. Certain parts felt so real especially the courtroom scene. Noah Baumbach, you are a genius.

You, Me & Tuscany
Surprisly an enjoyable watch. Matteo's family were the highlight of the movie. Such good chemistry between the leads. Certain parts were corny but still funny. This reminded me of the movie The Hoilday because of the cooking subplot with the main actress. Cheesy ROMCOMS are back.

12 Angry Men
"It's always difficult to keep personal prejudice out of a thing like this. And wherever you run into it, prejudice always obscures the truth," Some of the greatest performance i seen in a minute. This was literally worth every minute. I like how you see how the jurors who obviously had a bias realize how bad judging could play a role in someone life. The ending scene where juror 8 breakdown is CINEMA. Can’t believe it look me so long to watch this classic.
