"i'm going to need you more than you need me" in a weird way, this movie made me realize that maybe my problems aren't as bad as i thought. one star goes for jake gyllenhaal and the other one for anne hathaway because she looked ethereal. he was naked almost every scene, but all i could focus on was her perfect curly hair. i would've enjoyed this a lot more if they weren’t hooking up every 10 minutes though. it was repetitive and it felt like their relationship was based solely on sex. it also should’ve been more focused on exploring how parkinson's changed her life instead of centering the whole movie on him dealing with it when he's not even the sick one

it's not the best film of the decade as some claim but it's definitely a great one. the performances were incredible but for me, the biggest strength is the pacing - everything moved so smoothly that it never felt like a nearly 3 hour movie. however, i don't get the 5 star ratings and how no one in the top reviews has discussed the weird portrayal of black women here. there's so many scenes of teyana taylor that don't sit right with me and were clearly a stereotype. the oversexualization was fucking appalling. i also think the themes and politics of the movie were all over the place and didn't really take a stance on anything. even after giving it some thought, i'm still not entirely sure i really like or understand what the director was aiming for with the way he wrote his black female characters going from doing kpop dance covers to having this as your first role is crazy though. chase infiniti i see your future and it's very bright

they really gave us chronicle 2. him falling from the chair and being pissed off that the demon didn't catch him 😭 this and the first one will always be my favorites, they did such a great job making it look like a real home video. the dog scene was unnecessary but i love the different setting and characters
