Oldboy
Great watch. I didnt expect it to be so poetic. Some lines will stick out like: Be it a rock or a grain of sand, in water they sink as the same. I guess I went in expecting a disturbing gross and hard to watch movie. At some points, yea, it was pretty brutal. Its not disturbing enough for me. Did it meet my expectation? No. Did I like it? Hell yea. I love it. Very beautiful to look at and the camera movements and acting is top tier.
Until Dawn
I think if they had a better script, would help this alot. It feels like this one big pool empty pool and they started adding ideas in it. Some plots work and some just fell a but flat. Its better than what people are saying it is even though it did nothing unique. It feels like it got inspired by the ritual 2017, scanners 1981, and some other movies that give off that kind of feeling. The ending felt too predictable in my opinion. Hot take (not so hot): they would do way better if they didnt feed off the name of an iconic game. I dont know if theyre done it right or not (mostly not is my guess) this shouldve been marketed and named differently from the game.
Mother Mary
This gave me the vibes of so many movies, MOSTLY In Fabric. Michaela Coel and Anne Hathaway really vibe together on this. This movie has some really interesting visuals that I wish it went somewhere like Smile 2 went. You can tell FKA Twigs vibes written all over the music. Very sensual, very beautiful, very pure sounding. I feel like Michaela really gave the movie the vibes that it needed. Even if shes not speaking, her facial expression and acting were top tier (same with Anne Hathaway)
The Ninth Configuration
While its beautiful looking and has some symbolic shots, great music, and wonderful writing, appealing story and great looking shots, it was a bit dragging honestly. It might be me, but I got a little bored midway even though I was interested in the story. Im trying to figure out what kind of movies are my go to movies and it is not space movies, military movies, western movies, or war movies. #figuringitout I honestly dont know if I will remember it a week from now. The scene before the final scene was great. The writing shines and the cinematography shines. Great twist.
One Spoon of Chocolate
Pissed me off from the start. It really paid off. This movie was so racist. The whole town was super racist, only one pretty hot girl (Paris Jackson) which was great in this.
Ghosts
Super fun. I watched this 8 times since I was a kid to now. Love this.
The Mist
If not for the ending and some scenes in this one, it would be a 2.5. This movie has some really good tension from the first encounter to the very end. However, it did feel like it was dragging a tiny bit in the middle. This religious woman really got on my nerves, was about to pray for her de- Oh!
Michael
Feels like the story is incomplete when Janet isnt in it. It feels like they have hinted on events and details, but never explained it (expecting you to know) which feels like its made for Michaels fans and not for general audience. It did look beautiful and very well made. It did heavily focus on his music career which felt very one demsional and lacks a bit of depth. Overall, really enjoyed it as it is going in almost blind other than its his biography that is played by his cousin (every person in this killed their perfomance).
Whiplash
That old man pissed me off so bad I had to take a break from his annoying screams and insults, very well done his role though. Usually, I dont go for these kind of movies. I saw alot of positive reviews, so I had to check it out. It was great. The performances are great. The last 10 minutes was the best parr of the whole movie. Wouldnt watch it again anytime soon but really enjoyed this.
Cries and Whispers
Everytime Liv Ullmann is on screen, she steals the show. The use of color red, black, and white is so intensional. It is so well acted that you can feel the characters feelings just by seeing their faces. It seems so stylistic and powerful at the same time. This is my 2nd Ingmar movie (Persona (https://boxd.it/bWWOnv) was my first). So far, never missed.

Over Your Dead Body
Throw reality out of the window, this is a really good and fun advanture movie. It was funny and really good time in a theatre full. Many shocking and gory moments, some moments are gross as well. We need Samara in more movies please😍..
Coherence
Almost flawless if they had a bigger budget. This is very very engaging and it really keeps you on the edge of the seat. Impressive.

Project Hail Mary
I tried... to give it another chance. Honestly, I LOVE the cinematography and the first hour. After 10 minutes of Rocky showing up, it got really boring and stayed boring for me. The concept of "hero" and saving the world is too basic. In my mind, I wanted them to use Rocky to explore the loneliness of space and what astronauts go through. Space is pretty lonely and scary. Being the only human in space is possibly the most understandable fear. If they used Rocky as an imaginary friend and it would end up really dark, since astronauts really die in space, would possibly make this movie my second favorite space movie after 2001: A Space Odyssey (https://boxd.it/cksLln).

This is a heartless and brutal movie that I will never rewatch (might buy it on dvd or blu ray though). Jesus christ... if you think Salo, or the 120 Days of Sodom (https://boxd.it/237s) is bad and disturbing, you havent seen this. In Salo, it feels like only one scene that really made me cover my eyes as a grown man. In this, JESUS CHRIST... THE LAST 1 HOUR WAS BATSHIT CRAZY. Nothing is off the table... im beyond disturbed. ✅I dont know why poeple hating on this (other than the animal death, not sure it its real or not, every 10 minutes.) I honestly liked some of the shots in this. Just needs to be restored since the quality is kinda shit. The music was great. The piano, the harmony at the end and the intense music at some points. Very very poetic though✅ 😐Also, some of them need to wear some damn clothes. Freaky ass bitches pissing and shitting everywhere. 😐

This is a fun double story that connects at the end. Everybody did their part. Worth the watch!
A History of Violence
Not his best but this feels different and fresh. I have seen so many violent movies so the violence in this is really tame. The movie is more Thrilling with couple of "action" scenes.
