Project Hail Mary
Enjoyable and Gosling is magnetic despite having nobody to bounce off of most of the movie which made it even better. I didn’t really get invested in Rocky unfortunately and also just didn’t actually expect him to die so it didn’t hit very hard for me. Still very enjoyable and I would recommend even just for Greg Fraser cinematography. Does feel like every minute of its runtime though

Still just as good as the first time. Ryan coogler is one of my favorite film makers currently working and I hope he gets more freedom to do whatever the fuck he wants. Also wish Miles Caton all the best and hope he finds plenty of success

Free Solo
I watched this for the first time around when it came out and have been enamored by Alex honnold as a guy since. Like this freak eats out of pans with spatulas and drinks straight from a pot but he also did quite possibly the most impressive athletic feat in human history
The Smashing Machine
A little all over the place thematically could’ve benefitted from more direction. Attempted showcase of Dwayne’s acting and that’s about it, and he does a good enough job. Better than his other roles at least Wanna see more from this safdie
The Lego Batman Movie
One of the best Batman movie adaptations. Actually looks at Batman’s relationships and has the bat family in it. My main gripe is that he’s dumb as fuck in this movie, but it works for this kinda tone. Also Batman and joker are lesbians

Cult classic teen movie fr. Messy, paced weirdly, the characters are one dimensional, the dialogue is messy. But just has that thing that makes you wanna love it
Sinners
To survive and be loved in America you have to follow in the Irish people’s footsteps and abandon your culture to assimilate. But all this brings is sorrow and a longing to see and belong to your culture again. Remmick wants Sammie to see his past and those that he’s left, the culture that he seemingly ditched. Whole movie could’ve been the song sequence in the jukebox joint and I would’ve love it.
