Michael Jackson's Thriller

It's still one of the greatest music videos of all time.

Michael Jackson: Bad Japan Tour '87

With his movie releasing on Friday, I feel like its time to rewatch some of Michael Jackson's best work. I never really watched the full version of this and the whole story makes sense now with Michael's character wanting to prove that he was "Bad" to his friends. Having Martin Scorsese direct this along with the backdrop of Brooklyn was genius. The choreography obviously never gets old as well. Time to rewatch Thriller next....

Train Dreams

Train Dreamsis about Robert Grainier, a logger who goes through a tough journey through his career in logging. Through this journey, Robert meets new friends and then has to deal with the deaths of his peers. These moments happen due to people seeking revenge and racism. He also has to deal with the loss of his wife and daughter which results in him trying to find ways to seek peace. Clint Bentley does an incredible job on capturing the effects that love and grief can have on you. The casting in this film is phenomenal and they each do an incredible job. Joel Egerton carries this movie really well along with Felicity Jones.

Friday Night Double Feature - 2/2 Now I see why Denzel said “I’ll always be chasing you, Sidney. I’ll always be following in your footsteps. There’s nothing I would rather do, sir. Nothing I would rather do...."

Friday Night Double Feature - 1/2 A great way to start this! This is probably my favorite Tom Hanks performance so far and Denzel was fantastic as usual. Antonio Banderas was brilliant in this as well as Mary Steenburgen. Jonathan Demme's direction was great along with Tak Fujimoto's camerawork.
