Lindsey Collins
Lindsey Collins is an American film producer and studio executive known for her long career at Pixar Animation Studios. She joined the studio in May 1997 and worked in a variety of production capacities on several Pixar feature films, including A Bug's Life, Toy Story 2, Finding Nemo, and Ratatouille. She also provided the voice of Mia in Cars. Before joining Pixar, Collins worked for three years at Walt Disney Feature Animation, where she managed creative teams on Pocahontas, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, and Hercules. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Diplomacy and World Affairs from Occidental College.
Collins co-produced WALL·E with producer Jim Morris and director Andrew Stanton. The film received widespread critical acclaim and won the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature. Collins and the production team also received a Visual Effects Society Award for Outstanding Animation in an Animated Motion Picture. She later served as producer on the Disney live-action science fiction film John Carter, directed by Andrew Stanton.
Collins produced Finding Dory, the sequel to Finding Nemo. The film received nominations from the Producers Guild of America and the Visual Effects Society for Outstanding Producer of Animated Theatrical Motion Pictures and Outstanding Visual Effects in an Animated Feature, respectively. Following the release of Finding Dory, Collins became Vice President of Development at Pixar. In that position, she helped establish Pixar's SparkShorts program, an initiative designed to identify new filmmaking talent, experiment with production methods, and support innovative short-form storytelling.
In April 2022, Collins was promoted to Senior Vice President of Development at Pixar. In this role, she oversees development for both feature films and streaming projects. She serves on Pixar's Creative Leadership team alongside Chief Creative Officer Pete Docter. She produced Turning Red, directed by Domee Shi. The film received nominations for the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature, the BAFTA Award for Best Animated Film, the Producers Guild Award for Outstanding Producer of Animated Theatrical Motion Pictures, and the Visual Effects Society Award for Outstanding Visual Effects in an Animated Feature. Collins later served as an executive producer on Elio and as a producer on Toy Story 5.
