i’d call it pretentious, but that would imply it tried.

les musiques sont vachement bien, le film a de la gueule et j'aime ce genre de concept, ouais j'ai kiffé y'a quoi

"Concussions are a necessary blood sacrifice for the cult running the League of Football Nationally" could have been done a lot more coherently, and was a lot less interesting than where I thought this was going. That second half completely falls apart worse than being a fan of each Chicago Bear-drafted QB Marlon Wayans ruled at least. Most watchable one-star-film of the year so far just for him (HIM, haha. haha. ha.) alone

I just feel scammed because i thought this is a fresh movie with body horror + sport genre, which is exciting me and put a high expectation on this. But put aside the sport, it's not a body horror. Feel so long, i fell asleep many times just for waiting on horror part which is the climax ending. The climax ending kinda saved this movie, even it's still lack of something, and i don't know what the point of this movie, do you want to be a GOAT like HIM or what?

É bem legal, não entendi essas notas tão baixas

Interesting ideas, stunning visuals, but little development. There’s so much potential within this film, but it just wasn’t developed enough to give any sort of proper conclusion. Any ideas that it brings to the table are fairly shallow, leaving you wondering exactly what draft of a script this ended up being.

Film felt like a mash-up of music video. Beginning and the middle part were the highlight of the film with each passing day the pressure on cade's character felt more and more extreme but its ultimate finale felt too extreme, too much blood and the final confrontation between cade and white felt out of place (even though the hints were dropped through out the film ) rather than having them fight 1 v 1 if it was a match on the field it would have been much more impactful. Other than that the training sequence were impactful and actually showed the potential of the film.

this film doesn’t understand what it wants to portray. it felt quite long and then the climax fights just happen after which was off to me. felt like a cheap way of doing the “white people control everything” bit especially when like the first 80% of it was building up to be in the vain of toxic perseverance like whiplash. i think that’s what throws me off, it’s trying to be whiplash, get out, aizen’s plan while not developing those parts as well as those stories did. looks really beautiful though

huh?
