The Artifice Girl

Though some bits of the last act aren’t great, there’s a lot of grand declaratory stuff here that doesn’t work so well, this was a really good surprise. At times straining against its constraints of budget/concept, the film proposes some interesting, if well trod, questions. Henriksen is really great in here, and I hope we can get another performance or two from him where he’s allowed to show his greatness like this. 2023 Ranked (https://boxd.it/kiMdu)
