Ju-on: The Grudge 2
The Ju-on franchise is better than the Ringu franchise, that's the hill I'm dying on this week
Ju-on: The Grudge 2
Damn. It’s been a very long time since I had this much fun watching a horror film. Ju-on: The Grudge 2 doesn’t hold back at all, producing some of the scariest bits from this series yet, and still maintains to be one fun film. This time around, it seems that they actually got a decent budget, and were able to do a lot more with the film, which certainly shows. The effects are better, the plot is even more wild, and they really were able to conjure up some great scares. With more money, it seems that they were able to just play around and have a good time, which is in part because of the lack of a need of background. This is the fourth installation into the series, and there’s no more need to explain what happened to Kayako and Toshio, but rather use their characters to bring on the scares. Overall, Ju-on: The Grudge 2 is my favorite film thus far in the series, and is one of the most fun horror films I’ve seen in a while. It’s been interesting seeing the transition of this series, and I am very interested to see what else will change with this series, as I don’t think they’ll be able to top what they did with this film. This is a great film, and one that more people need to watch after seeing Ju-on: The Grudge, since this adds more scares than the first film, and is much more fun to watch.
