- fruit is still the most beautiful segment, - but jimmy somerville is the most beautiful moment. - that fucking moment. chills.

- first, i think i will always love oliver sim's work. - for context, the xx has been in and out of my life since high school, and even though i'm not the most consistent listener of the group, they've always tapped into something specific inside of me--similar to massive attack's mezzanine (1998) and fleet foxes' self titled album (2008), which all mean a lot to me. - so, when i found out oliver was releasing solo material, especially after reading interviews surrounding him and this particular work, i was beyond excited. that still remained as i watched the film. - it's so personal. so personal. - hideous has easily been one of my favorite songs of the year, and i can't wait to listen to all of hideous bastard (2022) tomorrow.
