Final Destination
Probably not the best film to watch before I take a flight, especially when I already have a fear of flying, but that is probably this movie's greatest strength. It locks into a common fear that people have and gives to you the worst possible, albeit exaggerated, portrayal of an outcome that some might have envisioned in their mind at some point or another. I wouldn't say that it is one of the greatest 2000s and beyond horror movies, but it does have a significant place in film history for what it does. The cast is great in this, even when the movie does get a bit too silly for its own good.

Strangely enjoyable, Final Destination is almost so bad it’s good at times. If you didn’t watch this as a child, like I didn’t, you’ll struggle to get a lot out of this. The acting, for the most part, is poor, the characters are poorly written and the CGI is horrendous. As a big fan of James Wong I was disappointed by this, luckily he’s more than redeemed himself since. Still, some funny moments and some hilarious lines of dialogue.

Defendo e vou defender o terror do começo dos anos 2000. O assassino slasher é literalmente a morte, tão sádica e sonsa quanto um Myers ou um Jason Vorhees da vida. Gosto da construção dos cenários de morte e como esse aqui é bem mais sobrenatural. Beira o cômico em alguns momentos de tão exagerado e espalhafatoso que é, mas eu particularmente adoro, se tivesse atores melhores seria mais legal!

ㅡ Road to Final Destination: Bloodlines I've never watched any Final Destination franchise before, so here we are, gosh it's first movie and in the first minute my anxiety is building up so high.

This is overall my 3rd watch of this movie but for some reason I barley have any memory of my first 2 watches. I'm pretty sure the last time I watched this was in October 2023? I just remember a friend put it because he loved the movie. I'm glad that I enjoyed this, loved the characters (except for Carter) especially Clear, and the deaths Tod's scared me the most. I'm looking forward to watch the others very soon!
