The Corruptor

Where has this movie been my entire life?! In a time when US and China tensions are high, it's nice to go back to a time when the two were more collaborative in their movie-making industries. Sort of like a more serious take on Rush Hour and a better American crossover film for Chow Yun-fat than what he would do later with Bulletproof Monk. Mark Wahlberg also gives a toned-down but solid performance in one of his earliest roles in his acting career. The soundtrack is rooted in underground hip-hop and adds an exceptional feel to the movie as a whole.
