Story is not that appealing and not much of a horror. But Andra Day I genuinely thought gave a good performance and I thought she played her part very well

This cast, this director, this platform, and this promotion all seem a lot more expensive than anything this script warranted and anything this on-screen product delivered on until, minimum, 16 minutes left in the film; an exorcism film without even a hint of an exorcism until the final third, an abusive-parent-meets-evil-presences story where you root for the evil presences Some of you freaks dissing M Night's dialogue a month ago for Trap owe him apologies. The people saying Rob Savage's Dashcam had a hateable main character owe Annie Hardy apologies. The people shaming Tubi originals owe Tubi apologies The erratic pace for the first third made me unable to tell if it was intentional or not; by end of the first half I'd given up caring on which it was. Not good either way, not worth it either way. Glenn Close tried, that's the extent of the props I'll give

The plot was messy and didn't make sense a lot of the time, the acting was terrible (bar Glenn Close) and towards the end turned into what felt like religious propaganda. The Deliverance was a complete waste of time.
