Gremlins is the perfect film to watch on a cold Christmas night. It's a perfect balance between comedy and horror, blending the two together seamlessly to create a film that's perfect for the holidays. I forgot how funny this film really was, especially when watching it with other people, which made me enjoy the film even more. Gremlins is far from the typical holiday film, but a staple in my viewing every year for the holidays.

Watching Gremlins on Christmas day is something that I started up a few years ago, and is something that I look forward to every holiday season. This film captures the essence of the holiday spirit, sprinkles in some terror, but manages to be one hell of a time. It’s such a fun film to watch, and is friendly enough for most audiences to be able to sit through it together. I’m curious to see if there’s any prints left of the first shots of some of the scenes, which ended up being re-shot since they were too graphic to put in this verison of the film. I really need to revisit the sequel soon, but for the moment being, this is a great way to end my holiday. I hope everyone has a great rest of the year and a safe holiday!!

An odd little Christmas film that doesn't feel Christmasy, but is more sinister. The iconic Gremlins get their fame from here, which is rightfully deserved. This is a great film, enjoyable for the family (oddly enough) while still giving out scenes that scare me (I mean, honestly, who wouldn't be afraid of Spike going into the water?). This is a great holiday movie and the effects are great, creating a genuinely frightening film.

This movie is actually pretty funny! My mom was cracking up during most of it, while I chuckled at some parts. It is a well-done comedy/horror, which is a genre I don't even like to venture into. It had the laughs and the gore, so it was decent in my book.
