95/100 First off, Sigourney Weaver and her fake titties mmm mmm mmm!!! Now back to my senses. This is an incredible piece of art. They went as failed actors and returned as gods. To think that I hadn’t even heard of this film until yesterday and I really only watched it because the poster looked intriguing and Sigourney Weaver looked hot. I have discovered yet another 90s space gem. The creativity was out of the charts back then. Sure the premise may seem dumb with all the scientific advancements even at that time but it’s the writing man, the fucking writing. It’s so bloody good. There are no cringeworthy moments, there’s no dragging, there’s well-constructed humour, there’s the use of cleavage and it fucking works. It starts off as some sort of a parody then gets serious, get into the lives of the actors having to relive their characters from 20 years ago. Then it changes cinema forever. Sam Rockwell I must say is the funniest man in this film, his expressions, his look, his pessimistic outlook man he had me laughing my ass off. The rest of em were as good as can be. But it’s not about the actors as much as it is about the plot, the transition between humour, deception, twist and sadness. It’s all there, you want a film with all sorts of emotions and you have Galaxy Quest. They went from being depressed doing what they do to having their careers revived doing what they do best. It’s really the perfect movie. With this and Total Recall, we really need more 90s like space films, this is creativity.

Tim Allen is an impressive presence in Galaxy Quest. He's the tool-man we've forever known, spitting out comedic confidence in every line, naturally operating well with his self loving character in the Galaxy Quest crew. His matching with Alan Rickman, Sigourney Weaver and Sam Rockwell is a kickass combination in this fun and adventurous movie. And goddamn, those aliens look fantastic.

“This episode was badly written!” For a parody film Galaxy Questmanages to stand on its own, surprisingly. It’s also genuinely written well when compared to some of the terrible films attempting the parody formula that released later on after this one. I don’t have a connection to the Star Trekshow, so some of the humor might have been lost on me, but it didn’t hamper my viewing experience in the slightest. I give this 3 sexy Sigourney Weaversout of 5.
