Diary entries forThe City of Lost Children
The City of Lost Children
Marc Caro and Jean-Pierre Jeunet's, The City of Lost Children, capitalizes the meaning of the enthralling bond between two characters. I adore these films. When at first sight they are repulsed and in withdrawal to each other. When ensuing a prosperous circumstance, the two connect. Here, The City of Lost Children, does so with one of the most likeable bonds I have seen. The characters, from One (Ron Perlman) to the crazy Krank and without a doubt the two la Pieurvre twins, are insanely unique. Dominique Pinon is a ferocious force in one of his best roles, playing the crazy clones and the one original. The steampunk setting fits the mood of the film perfectly. It keeps adding and giving to the outlandish and occult atmosphere. Whatever happens, I'm in awe. The film looks sublime, and is.
