one of my absolute favorite disney animated movies...the animation is gorgeous, not to mention the story is not the standard find the treasure map, beat the bad guys there blah blah fucking blah, it actually has some emotional depth and heart...fingers crossed that michard mouse's live action dept. forgot this exists

"You're gonna rattle the stars, you are!" This is my childhood favorite (non-horror) movie, and when I found out Bee has never seen it, I just had to show them it. I spent the entire movie with this huge sense of nostalgia and sadness for easier times and when I got so immersed in this movie. John Silver is one of my favorite characters. So well developed of a character arc. and I'll forever be in love with Jim Hawkins

It’s been ages since I last watched this film, and I really am glad I revisited this, since it was actually a lot of fun! There’s some great voice acting and some great CGI/traditional animation crossover here, leading to some of Disney’s most cosmically stunning scenes. It’s a shame that this style of animation is no longer being released, since Disney could be putting out films just as revolutionary as this one was. I really need to revisit Disney’s 2000’s animated films, since there really are some gems in there.
