It’s better than the first animated film (Diary of a Wimpy Kid (2021) (https://boxd.it/3uvnkz)) it still doesn’t live up to the original movies from the early 2010s. Horrible animation and horrible voice acting turns into a messy hour long film that cuts too much out from the source material. Also, Rowley is extremely annoying in this film compared to the first. TL;DR, just watch the original films
