The Beekeeper may be a run-of-the-mill January thriller, but it knows that is exactly what it is, so it puts the dials up to 10 and does its thing. And it ended up being a surprisingly enjoyable time! Yeah, we know exactly what is going to happen, but getting there is the fun part, and this film certainly took its time to create a wacky enough plot to warrant the wrath of Jason Statham. I knew this wasn’t going to be something I was going to love, but I went in with an open enough mind and found myself pleasantly surprised in the end.

74/100 “You have laws for these things until they fail. Then you have me.” Holy motherfucking shitttt Jason Statham being badass is the coolest thing on planet. How can you not enjoy him doing what he does best - kick ass and this time with tons of bee puns! This movie is fun and I didn’t think it was gonna be as brutal as it was. It gives John Wick vibes expect I prefer the Beekeeper every day. Also Josh Hutcherson was really fun as a douchebag.
