Diary entries forBoyhood
Boyhood
Boyhood is one of those films that makes you really feel like you’re watching life happen. Richard Linklater spent 12 years making this movie, which means you get to see the characters grow up right in front of you—literally. It’s not just about the plot; it’s about how you see the characters change physically and emotionally, and how life itself shifts over time. It’s a slow burn, but the payoff is huge. You get totally invested in these people’s lives, and by the end, it feels like you’ve been on this journey with them. It’s something you don’t see often in movies, and that’s what makes it so special.

Boyhood
This endeared me to Ethan hawke, dragged a little but I think that’s the point since you’re watching an entire childhood go by
Boyhood
Finally watched this one and at precisely the right moment I needed to. Hard to quantify. It's not a visually arresting feature, the portrayals are a bit low-key, and the writing and vignettes are standard fare. And then... you watch them literally live a life in front of your eyes. A nearly three hour film blinks by in an instant. I haven't felt this knocked about by a feature since viewing the entire "Up" docu-series in a single night.
Boyhood
This movie was taking 12 years to make is make me amazed, when i'm watching it, it looks like i raised the kids from kids to adult and send them to the college. And also did you guys notice when they are with their mother they're all suffers, but different with their dad. The minus of this movie just a duration and many scene that not too important.

12 anos pra fazer o filme e 12 anos pra acabar de assistir o filme tb pqp
Boyhood
I was not prepared for that wave of emotions. I had just watched 12 years worth of someone growing up. It just shows how fast everything happens when you're growing up. As a kid it feels so slow but once you're older. Time passes by insanely fast. One year feels like three months. This movie had come out when I was 13. I remember being like "Meh I'd watch it another time.". I am now turning 24 in a few days. The scenes where Mason mentions a promise that his dad had made but his dad 'forgot'. The mum constantly finding someone instead of just staying alone with the kids and letting herself grow. There were so many realistic scenarios in this. I loved the acting. It's really well shot. I just personally wish Mason was...more interesting to watch? But I guess that is also realistic since he's mundane and life is genuinely mundane. Same thing everyday.
