It's noticeable from the first fight sequence that Kill Boksoon draws clear inspiration from John Wick, even the world-building has a little bit of John Wick influence splattered here and there. While the fight sequences are really enjoyable and fun to watch, with great choreography and camera work, the rest of the film felt like it was missing something. I didn't find the plot to be that interesting, the runtime felt like it stretched longer than it should have, and frankly the whole mother-daughter bit felt like it was there just for the sake of being there. It's still a fun watch, I just felt like falling asleep whenever Bok-soon wasn't kicking ass. ChiAollenge 2026 (https://boxd.it/R7raO)
