"The Perks of Being a Wallflower" successfully evokes various emotions, making me smile, cry, and laugh throughout.

i have so many things to say about this movie so here's a list. 1. i honestly can't tell you how many times i've watched that movie and no matter how much i watch it, it'll always make me feel safe and make me feel like everything will be alright for an hour and 42 minutes. 2. this was my first time watching it after graduating high school and it was the first time i cried while watching that movie because it made me miss my senior year so much. the countdown of the last class of high school, graduation, prom. i'm glad i was able to appreciate them as they were happening because it really only happens once in your life and i'd pay good money just to relive them, i wouldn't change anything i did. 3. the most unrealistic part of the movie is sam and patrick not knowing heroes by bowie. 4. i too would become besties with my english teacher if he was paul rudd. 5. making snow angels while high on lsd is still on my to do list.

The Perks of Being a Wallflower
As of logging this movie in, I have seen it five times. I can't express in words how imperfectly perfect this film is. It means a lot to me; this review is heavily biased. I recognize the flaws in this movie, but they don't impact how much I love it because the good moments in this movie are nearly unparalleled. Logan Lerman killed it, delivering a spectacular performance; I couldn't imagine anyone else pulling off. I'm thrilled to see Stephen Chbosky directing the film since he was the book's author and thus knows the story better than if a random director were to make the film. They should let more people do that! The problems with this film are grand, but I'm willing to look past that because of how many moments shine with "best movie ever" energy. I'm failing to do this movie justice trying to explain it all, but this is one of those movies where if you haven't seen it, you need to as soon as possible. The Perks of Being a Wallflower is in my top 20 and solidified in my heart as a 10/10 film.
