I had some technical problem while watching this (my speaker broken) so i can't enjoy it. But this is a good movie actually, maybe i will watch the 1997 version as well.

Kinda interesting that Im giving the same rating to a shot for shot remake Like I really enjoyed the shots, the sound design and ai felt the tension from the family’s perspective more than the original The two boys, I think for now, I like the original since they were more psychotic Basically the inverse of the original for me I genuinely don’t know which one I like but this is really well done remake especially if you realize that Haneke wanted this story for American audiences

Film #1 of June 2016 Scavenger Hunt Task #7: A film starring Naomi Watts During my watching of this film, I had multiple things happen to me. My stomach dropped constantly. My heart started racing. My hands started shaking. I had to pause the film multiple times to calm myself down while watching. Now, this has never happened to me before. I've had connections to films before, but nothing like what I experienced while watching Funny Games. I think I may have had a mild panic attack while watching this film. Funny Games has been in my watch list for some time now. I couldn't find clear versions or versions that were not dubbed. Luckily, I was able to find a great version right before the start of this scavenger hunt. I knew, once seeing the criteria, that this was going to make it on my list. Lucky for me, I was able to watch it. And I am extremely glad I chose this film. This film was extremely captivating. The plot is so simple, yet is so intriguing. It's a really simplistic film, taking place generally in one area. I see how this film deals with control, and having this one space gives the control to the people holding the family hostage. The juxtaposition of whites with the dark tones of the film is really intriguing, since white usually is symbolic of purity, and that's the complete opposite of these men. Ultimately, Funny Games was amazing. I couldn't believe the reaction that I was having while watching it, giving me an entirely different experience while watching a movie. I really am excited to watch the original and see what they did there compared to this. Let's hope that it's just as good or even better than this version.
