American Wedding
"American Wedding", released 2 years after "American Pie 2", is a mixed bag that barely delivers. While the pacing is better than previous films, it’s still slow as shit. The movie's biggest flaw is how desperately it tries to be funny. With all the over-the-top bits, I think I laughed maybe twice? Stifler, who I previously really enjoyed in both former entries, is absolutely insufferable here. They’ve cranked him up to 11 in the worst way possible. That god-awful fucking sniveling laugh really does make him unbearable any time he's on-screen. Not to mention that the film tries to paint him as, not a total asshole but rather a well-meaning asshole which just makes his character more annoying to watch! On the plus side, Eric Allan Kramer (aka my man Mr. Bob Duncan) is a fantastic addition, but he’s barely there. He should have gotten more screentime! The movie does have some surprisingly sweet moments that hint at a better film, maybe a decent drama or coming of age flick, if it wasn’t so obsessed with so fucking obsessed with being edgy. Kevin is so bland he might as well not exist, and Oz is completely absent. It’s like they forgot some of the original characters existed, which is a real shame. It's just wasted potential and an annoying end to (what originally was) a trilogy.
American Wedding
This has been a good movie to its franchise but many things were missing also. Kevin didn't get proper screentime and where was 0z ? Otherwise it has been felt good , really good comedy with proper elements of an American Pie. In short , really enjoyable but could have been better.
