Bingo Hell

"As long as you're around, Oak Springs will never die" The one (1) thing I liked about Rob Zombie's 31 was it was the first time I saw (or at least remembered I saw) Richard Brake and I thought he was a good/compelling enough, genuinely creepy villain, it was enough to keep my attention on a story, no matter what else the story's or film's flaws around him may be So it goes with the first Amazon+Blumhouse horror of the month. An otherwise-meh/forgettable tale about an average woman trying to save her community and their bingo hall from a creepy rich white man with sinister intentions killing them off one by one until all that's left is him and the land, is completely rejuvenated/given new life by Brake making this creepy character Extremely creepy. That first half hour without him is a bit of a slog but the final fifty five minutes with him are enjoyable and compelling enough to make up for it, making this stand out as on the more memorable side of the Amazon and Blumhouse collaborations thus far
