The Outfit

The tailor did it! No, wait…the cutter did it! This reminds me of a high school play: the “single setting”, the acting, the way in which the story unfolds. But that’s a good thing. Maybe the best thing about this movie. Somehow, it just works.

The Outfit

A nice little potboiler. Many of the twists and turns can be easily guessed, and while that doesn’t necessarily hurt the film, it doesn’t help it either. Thankfully for a film that is entirely set within the tailor shop, the performances here are all quite good. Rylance is fantastic, which is great given that he inhabits nearly every frame of the film. Johnny Flynn chews the scenery well as the films heavy, and aside from not knowing how to smoke a cigarette to save her life (lucky for her it doesn’t come down to such a test) Zoey Deutch impresses. The film has one ending too many, but it still works well. I’m certain this will be a film bro “underrated” staple for years to come. 2022 Ranked (https://boxd.it/fSyMM)

The Outfit

dylan o’brien’s agent fucking hates him. it’s so obvious at this point. this was not nearly half as clever as it thinks it is. i can tell the screenwriter was doing this (https://youtu.be/WZ-pQojAnaM) the whole goddamn time.

The Outfit

“𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘨𝘰𝘰𝘥 𝘨𝘶𝘺𝘴 𝘢𝘭𝘸𝘢𝘺𝘴 𝘸𝘪𝘯.” Opens with the killing of a man in rurality, but instead of seeing the blood and wounds, we get the running of animals. Dog circling. Horses tromping. Violence is nature-inherent. Aimlessness follows the close tracing of revenge. We walk the fine line through the grace of unlikeable characters trying to get what they want. They work almost like Gaitskill caricatures, wanting a means to end, and, eventually, we get the happy ending that we want, but only because actions follow consequences. A great plenty of kill shots keep the picture moving (ie the ending of the film with guns in all directions in a house full of doors, rooms and sweet, sweet revenge).

The Outfit

WTF, no one talking about this movie? Are u serious? OK The Outfit is a low-budget thriller-crime movie we all knew it, but it doesn't matter coz with smart idea and great execution you can still make a masterpiece and Graham Moore proved it. Maybe at the beginning, this film felt kinda rushed, the introduction of each characters felt lacking, but it turns out that as minutes pass we're introduced to who they are. The Outfit also kinda lack in storytelling, the script is still too shallow, it could be explored deeper. Anyways, this film bring us a lot of surprises that make The Outfit very interesting to watch. WOW! its only shoot in one set, but the tension is in the air, bruh! Great job to all the cast and crew, you guys amazingly made it!

The Outfit
