The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare

Guy Richie's Inglourius Bastards. Not bad, but you can't help but notice the similarities, even if it is based a true story. The story works well enough, though you do find yourself one step ahead of the characters for most of the movie. Guy Richie fans will feast; others will be enternatined as well.

The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare

A little in the middle. I didn’t hate it or think it was bad but I don’t think it was exceptional. It’s just fine i’d say, I did the cast all played their specific roles well! Especially Henry and Alan and hates off amazing soundtrack that does really immerse you into the action and planning!

The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare

Beautifully blow up The gentleman lover went back to his old ways, this time following in Tarantino's footsteps by shooting and burning hundreds of Nazis. All the ideas of non-gentlemen turn out to be successful, and their plans are easy to spit on. Nevertheless, it was quite fun and exciting to visit the waters, the warm lands of Africa and England in the 40s with the company of the charming Henry Cavill, the beautiful Eiza Gonzalez, and the brutal Alan Ritchson.

The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare

58/100 Check out my 2024 ranked - https://boxd.it/shaTi In the constant cycle of Guy Ritchie hits and misses, this is a miss. The music is annoying and while it is chaotic which is understandable, the lighting department messes up and this is even more frustrating for me after having watched GOT S8E3 which suffered massively from the same shit. The script is what’s exciting in a Ritchie film, the British jokes and the well-timed uses of profanity but this film does not do that well. It’s just mostly uninteresting and even Henry Cavill and Alan Ritchson could not save it. Eiza Gonzalez was probably the best part of this film and that’s mainly because she’s hella sexy. This film was a drag and they made a huge blunder promoting this film because the Cavill character is literally the key inspiration for James fucking Bond. They even got an Ian Fleming appearance in this film. Why would you not play on that in the marketing? Get the Bond fans to watch your film even if it isn’t all that good! Also petition for Eiza Gonzalez to be cast as Cleopatra. She was perfect in that look.

The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare

❝Fill your boots, gentlemen, and bon appétit. See you at the tower. And remember gentlemen, try to have fun.❞ · · ──────⊹⊱ ✦ ⊰⊹────── · · This is just a worse Inglorious Basterds with a much more hench cast. While I appreciate the chemistry between the main cast, the writing and action is kind of mediocre, and the pacing is way off. Even though the run-time is only two hours, around halfway it starts dragging so much it feels like a lifetime before the credits start rolling. I will say that the soundtrack was pretty good, as were the costumes and sets, but I don't think I'll be watching this again. → film-related note: there needed to be way more scenes with just alan ritchson handling ropes or his bow and arrows

It’s just two hours of Nazis getting slaughtered. I’m not complaining. 🤷🏻‍♂️
