the first time i watched this movie, it disturbed me so much. i think bec i was too young to be watching this kind of storyline, it just disturbed me.

this is one of those movies i can only watch once because it’s SO powerful but it’s really fucking good.

I really didn’t care for this when I saw it at the time of its release. This time around I enjoyed it more, but I think there is something about the book that makes it unfilmable I’m a lot of ways.

I never write reviews for movies but for this one I have to. Pros: Stanley Tucci has a great and creepy performance in this movie, every scene he was in just made me feel uncomfortable. Mark Wahlberg was great, so was Rachel Weisz, but Saoirse Ronan was great in particular. Cons: .This movie was too long, they could've at least cut 20-25 minutes out of the movie, also the movie is Very slow and some scenes were dragged out when they didn’t need to be. .When the credits rolled I just felt unsatisfied, the movie is about moving on however, her body was never even found, I mean the father even knew who the killer was towards the end and he’s ment to “move on”

this got me thinking i shouldn’t have talked to that one weird guy at 4 am all alone at a metal festival and go on a walk with him at some random beach i’d never been to, it could’ve ended REALLY badly
