The closest this comes to a 200-mile radius away from a good film is the first 2-3 minutes which are entirely clip replays of the original. Next time they want to make one of these shitfests, instead just replay the whole original and call it a day

This one was a very unique addition to this franchise. It also retcons 2-4 and is a direct sequel to the original. This is the only film where I actually feel bad for Leatherface he's just trying to protect his family. This had the same amount of gore as the last one I would say. This is also the first one where the police actually get involved. Alexandra Daddario was a great final girl. I liked the whole thing of her being related to Leatherface made an interesting plot point. Leatherface also seemed to be kinda the good guy towards the end?!? Which was weird. It was cool to see Heather team up with him tho. That carnival scene was also cool. However I don't like how it took 30 minutes for Leatherface to show up. Not much else to say about this tbh. I unironically enjoyed one of the most hated films more than the original.
