Totally Under Control

There admittedly isn't a bit of this that's surprising, so much as still infuriating, so in the interest of saying something more on it or about how you should vote, I'll say the same thing I had typed up for my review on Trial Of The Chicago 7 (that I'll publish when I can decide whether it's a 1 or a 5. Days later I still am unsure): Sorkin will be the last to tell you it, but voting is the bare minimum, and it has never been and will never be enough. Determining the solution to that cannot be done until the very act of acknowledging that is done. Make no mistake: January 21 corona will still be in America, along with racism, homophobia, transphobia, homelessness, unemployment, death and climate change. And not only do we deserve better than to lie to ourselves about that, but we will come no closer to solving any of it if we are once again surprised by reaching a day on the calendar and seeing it still present, no matter which rapist is in charge, no matter who is or isn't wearing a mask (please wear a mask)

Totally Under Control

A harrowing journey into the United States’ response to COVID-19, following what the current administration knew, and how this virus was let spread. It’s horrifying to watch this film now, knowing that it is still running rampant, and people still don’t believe that this disease is a problem. An essential documentary to follow how this virus got to get out of control in this country. It will be interesting to say the least to see what other documentaries come out about this pandemic in the coming years.
