I guess I kinda liked how they made the parents seem all psycho – Anthony Starr sure knows how to play those messed up roles.  That scene is freakin' scarier than the whole movie haha

Gonna get a lot of criticism for not ending a few minutes earlier when it had the chance to, but hopefully that's not enough to completely overlook one of the more surprising (and let's face it, underseen; I don't know if releasing this to VOD so quick was always the plan, but it's a better hope of having it seen by Anybody than fucking releasing it to theaters the same day as Barbie and Oppenheimer gave it) horror releases of the year thus far

can't say i loved all of it but it was decent. lizzy caplan's performance was so good! i thought the ending was fine but it also felt a bit abrupt. also the kid in this movie really looks like he could be lizzy caplan's child.

Cobwebis a wickedly fun time, with a simple premise, but has enough scares to warrant many watches in the future. A very, very good time, and a fantastic film to watch to prepare to enter into the spooky season.

Very weird ngl. This was also confusing because it never explained the backstory behind the villian. However this was great in terms of horror. Some parts of this I actually felt fear but mainly cause of Anthony Starr. This also surprisingly had more gore than I was expecting. How is it that almost every character Anthony Starr plays is so terrifying. He's definitely the best part of this. He turned into Homelander there for a second lmao. Lizzy Caplan is also very creepy as the mother. Also Woody Norman does great in this as Peter. I kinda disliked that weird abrupt ending. Could be a sequel tease idk? Kinda wish this explored more of the parents backstory and what happened but besides that this was a pretty solid horror flick. Plus the villian was pretty interesting.

Every creak, every groan, every tap in the wall, you'll think of me.❞ · · ────── •⊰✧⊱• ────── · · Slightly below average for a horror film, with a decent story but not very good acting. The plot twist was very predictable, and not one jumpscare was effective, though I did like some of the VFX and camerawork. I don't think Cobweb is worth watching unless you're a big fan of any of its cast members.
