Your Vice Is a Locked Room and Only I Have the Key
not my favorite giallo, but maybe my favorite giallo title? admittedly i watched this without subtitles on tubi and since i have the world’s worst audio processing (unless i have subtitles or am at a theater) i might not have been following this to the best of my ability…it’s a character flaw of mine! felt incredibly psychosexual, which seems to be par for the course for this. there’s a creepy cat in this..! and edwige fenech is stunning. love the short hair/bob look she has going on. the ending sort of bumped this up a bit more for me, it wasn’t what i was expecting. which i can appreciate!
Your Vice Is a Locked Room and Only I Have the Key
An erotic giallo. A sprinkle of dreary characters. An overkill of set-pieces. A rather baffling concept, however satisfying its ending is. Your Vice is a Locked Room and Only I Have the Key is both interesting and not. The kills are stellar giallo, spilling blood and mystery on screen, and the cinematography's splendid. But its story plummets in eerie directions at a dragging pace, leaving a limp impression on what could have been an opportunity to showcase a great giallo. Discerning to the mind after given thought.
