Diary entries forNo Country for Old Men
No Country for Old Men
Foda demais esse clima tenso desde o início. Achei um filme bem diferente e realista. E papo reto, Anton Chigurh é insano, certamente um dos maiores psicopatas do cinema, oscar merecido do Javier Bardem.
No Country for Old Men
Knowing of this movie, but not much about it, I actually didn't realize that Josh Brolin was in this movie. I obviously knew that Javier Bardem played a big role, and he is indeed excellent, but the 2 of them play off each other so well. Even if it isn't face to face, and more of a hunter/prey relationship. Reminds me a lot of Wrath of Khan in that sense. You have the other characters like Tommy Lee Jones and Woody Harrelson that help fill in those plot points along the way. A really well-made movie, that kind of gives you a bird's-eye view of this scenario that is playing out. Something is always around the corner, and you aren't sure how it is going to play out. Which is what makes it so good to begin with.
No Country for Old Men
Money is always going to be the biggest enemy. The suspense in this film really get onto your nerves. Very well work done on that thing for sure. The wounds, the blood, that captive bolt pistol(I mean where the hell did that come from) and then of course Javier Bardem, my goodness, everything was upto perfection. The moment Woody came with that walk and that attractive mouth of his, I was vividly enchanted. Thought Mathew McConaughey was missing in this film.
No Country for Old Men
i will comeback and probably upgrade this
No Country for Old Men
expectations were a bit too high. this was great, but maybe i'll need to rewatch it to understand why so many critics say this is one of the best movies of the new millennium. javier bardem's cunty bob was a little scary ngl.
No Country for Old Men
i think this is another case of me hearing this movie was great and building expectation in my head that were not fully lived up to. however, this was still very very good. suspenseful, adequately ambiguous and thought provoking (having lingering questions is more often than not a measure of a good movie to me). the standout is obviously bardems performance, and i would also say the decisions the coens made in their adaptation (from my brief review of the novel plot) some questions don’t have clear answers and that’s the point. i respect it.
No Country for Old Men
Fantastic antagonist, the beauty of this film is how much it doesn’t tell you, rather than how much it does. The film has no music, which helps add serious suspense and a feel of imminent doom.
No Country for Old Men
you know how this is going to turn out, don’t you? beautifully shot, written, and acted. the fuckass bob distracted me a bit i won’t lie
No Country for Old Men
Cineclub In The Boxxd #62.
