Eastern Condors

**150th film watched in 2024** Fantastic piece of Hong Kong cinema with some stellar action sequences (both the martial arts and gunfire, but especially the last sequence) and plenty of funny moments. Everyone is great in this even with its occasional cheesy script. Sammo Hung is great in both his acting and directing role, making Eastern Condors an engaging film and a really fun time. Some great commentary on the US making others deal with their mistakes, and the Vietnam war and its consequences on people within the East. (Also Hung kills people with a fuckin leaf. John Wick who?) “Idiot Americans, fucking Americans, goddamn Americans!” “When this is over where do you think you’ll go?” “…back to America!”
