Hermione Granger has a necklace that lets her travel back in time, and, until right at the end, all she’s uses it for is to go to more classes. Not sure how they can ever fail at anything they attempt ever again, I mean they can just go back and change anything in their way so life should be a cakewalk from now on. It’s a good film, nice cinematography and the CGI is WAY better than the previous two. Snape keeps getting mistreated but hopefully he gets to do more in the future entires. Also, will Dumbledore ever do anything apart from walk around talking cryptic?

A virada de chave, o abandono da repetição de elementos somente mágicos e um aprofundamento maior em questões que permeiam um senso de puberdade, o mundo ao seu redor começa a se aproximar, o mundo mágico não é mais uma escola apenas, Hogwarts é um pedaço desse mundo mágico que começa a abrir as portas pra um terror mais frontal que não se limita a um avatar do mal ou uma câmara com uma cobra gigante, os dementadores, Sirius Black e até o carrasco que está em uma esfera menor são essa guinada do salão enfeitado com velas mágicas pra um mundo mais cinza, mas que não perde a magia. Acho incrível como Cuarón usa de uma fotografia mais cinza, mas não abandona o fantasioso. O Dementador no trem e a cena de vôo do bicuço expressam bem essa guinada que são tão diferentes, mas igualmente encantadoras.

Cinematic marvel compared to the previous two straight-laced flicks... and they even managed to hide a lot of the early CG silliness of Quidditch behind a storm. Good on!

O melhor capítulo da franquia é o mais estimulante nas formas que Cuarón encontra de explorar os aspectos macabros do seu universo - a antecipação e o clima de apreensão na revista dos dementadores é muito bem traduzido em imagem pelo cineasta -, usando de composições bem pensadas para orquestrar as mudanças de tom da narrativa, os inúmeros elementos da premissa - de lobisomem a viagens temporais - e com um olhar atencioso acerca da dramaturgia.
