Temos.

Not feeling this one. Clunky action, tired tropes, and also that "New Asia" flattening along with a Vietnam-as-aesthetic thing. More interested in its Art Of book

Nirmata more like NirmaSoPredictablePlot. Jokes aside, the stunning visuals & breathtaking locations are the only thing this movie has to offer, as the plot & weirdly edited soundtracks drag it down from being a perfect movie.

87/100 People can’t rate this high and they expect good movies like bruh y’all watch that bullshit that you watch. Absolutely incredible film, yes some goofs here and there and the writing is questionable at times but it is a visual masterpiece, some of the best CGI ever put on film. It’s also majestic and emotional. An excellent film that should set the benchmark for CGI going forward. Also a great score from Zimmer. Solid acting from the kid. All nuclear explosions are something to behold and eons above Oppenheimer, only thing above these would be Twin Peaks S3. Nolan, it’s alright to use CGI sometimes. This is what you get when a VFX artist makes a film, he can get the best CGI out of everyone efficiently in a lesser budget. These new stuntmen like the director of Extraction and Gareth here know what they are doing. Let’s normalise giving them more work in their genre. One of my favourite films of the year. People can get good things and this is one of them.

After viewing this film, I am sure that Gareth Edwards is one of the best directors in recent. His mastery in directing, was evident through outstanding cinematography, flawless VFX & concept of AI which stands out. Despite a somewhat predictable storyline, the execution elevates the movie. While performances are good, not exceptional. But it's cinematography was breathtaking and it's VFX was truly flawless, brilliant stuff. The portrayal of AI, infused with human emotions, adds depth, and the integration into diverse cultures showcases creative brilliance. In the era of AI's ascent, "The Creator" serves as a promising initiation into a genre poised for extensive exploration.

"Am I going to heaven" Wow just wow. This was so amazing. Such a beautiful and emotional film. I have so much words I cannot express currently. This might be one of my favorite Sci fi films from just a first watch. This is definitely one of the best films released this year. No doubt in my mind. I absolutely love the telling of whether or not A.I is actually alive and can really feel. John David Washington is absolutely phenomenal and really adds so much. Madeleine Voyles is also amazing as Alphie she definitely surprised me for a child actor. The banter between Joshua and Alphie was great but the emotions I went through while watching this was crazy. It kept that emotional but lighthearted tone that will hurt more than just a normal sad tone. This has amazing action and visual effects. However it's way more than that and tells a deep exploration on A.I and the potential consequences. It also explores how A.I would live, would they have feelings? Are they really alive? This really mixes futuristic vibe with a more older feel. I regret not watching this sooner. I absolutely loved this film and I definitely recommend you watch it. The best Sci fi movie this year by far.

okay, first things first; yes, the narrative is very derivative of a multitude of other sci fi films and i think the impact this will have will vary from viewer to viewer. for me, i see it as something of a love letter but also as what it really is - a way to get this movie funded lets be real. the cookie cutter story is certainly the weakest part of the film but dammit if i don’t love some cookies from time to time. and it isn’t like this movie had nooriginality. there were plenty of things and ideas that this movie had that i hadn’t seen before that i thought were actually fascinating. despite overall predictability of the story and the twist landing like a wet towel because i called it 15 minutes in, i was still pretty invested. Mostly due to the surprising complexity of the Joshua. I was honestly expecting him to be just another heroic do-gooder protagonist who only wants to do the right thing but that’s not really him at all. sure he’s not a total asshole or anything but he’s got selfish goals and it comes with some unnecessary consequences. but he has an entire arc and between that and his relationship with alphie, i think that is what really carries this movie’s narrative. i’ve always believed that you can tell a basic story if you insert a fresh or interesting character into it and joshua is just that. but now for the actual best thing about this film - the eye candy. whoa MAMA this one scrumptious looking movie. i’m talking the shots, the color, the character design, the costuming, the ships and vehicles, the blending of natural and tech, it was all just on another level, this is right up there with some of the best looking films of the last decade, let alone this year. i’ll have to see it again to make a decision on wether or not it’s an all timer visually though but it’s up there. overall, i loved it. as with any film, it isn’t without flaws but given how difficult it must be to get funding for an original sci fi film, i think they did they best they could. and to make this for $80 million?! insane. anyway we’ll see how it fares after a second watch but knowing me i’m probably still going to love it
