Look I don't want to attack anyone but I think the average letterboxd user who has la la land, the perks of being a wallflower, interstellar and dead poets society and tries to watch a bad movie in order to make the rating graphs more "serious" would probably hate this film just because of how cheesy, like it has the worst dubbing for those white guys especially the white boy who was checking the surf board. Huge love cause how this film easily tackles the comedy, romance and the action and the action ISNT EVEN THE BEST PART!! Chow Yun Fat is a womanizer, chainsaw fight fucks so hard. Should probably see Lethal Weapon now but I don't think it will be this good where both of the characters are not wearing pants just to save 2 hostages. also why did the beat up Nina Li Chi so hard??? The part where Chow drinks 6 raw eggs and he was taught by Bruce Lee, Jackie Chan, Alain Delon then to Stallone. It's SO 80's and the fact that it's canon where Chow's character has posters and love Madonna's True Blue, the Rocky film, Cobra (need to watch that, my dad's begging me to watch it) and Brooke Shields. The score is just so cheesy and reminds me a lot of Tangerine Dream. Shotgun on a rope cool as fuck, those white guys were definitely casted from a brothel or something, they look like they came out from bands like Wang Chung, Duran Duran.
