The Sleeping Beauty

Based on the theatrical opening filled with pulpy orientalist imagination inspired by early 20th century adventure cinema, I thought The Sleeping Beauty will go in interesting, anti-colonial directions. But it seems it was all for show, because it soon devolved into a rushed, melodramatic "scary" retelling of the fairy tale (that's the whole idea behind the entire anthology) that signals themes but doesn't do anything with them.
