What can't Kevin Spacey do? In Beyond the Sea, he starred, directed, wrote, and contributed to the soundtrack. It honestly wouldn't surprise me if he helped choreograph this. Spacey is just that talented. As for the movie, Spacey gives his all. Playing Durin, one of the most iconic artists of the 50's, Spacey gives a fantastic performance. His singing voice is actually amazing, making the soundtrack to the film spectacular. His directing actually wasn't terrible either. The only thing that seemed out of place were the music numbers, but they felt normal by the end of the film. I did have a problem following between movie or flashback, and that continued throughout the film. Otherwise, Beyond the Sea is another fantastic film that Spacey has under his belt.
