Deus como eu queria que o Herzog fizesse a versão dele de O Morro Dos Ventos Uivantes, embora em alguns momentos recriando quase que fielmente o que foi feito no primeiro filme do Murnau, o Herzog tem uma abordagem interessante, a começar que isso aqui é um romance gótico. Nosferatu não é um monstro imponente, ele é um indivíduo frágil e até covarde ansiando por amor, desejo e toque. Embora seja algo que vêm dele, representa também os desejos de Jonathan e principalmente Lucy, em um momento que a mesma encara o monstro e fala que seu amor pelo marido é algo que nem Deus pode ter. É a intensidade e uma melancolia que vai além de uma questão de vida ou morte. A forma como Herzog ilumina seu filme é algo que contrasta e soma demais com o que veio antes, Nosferatu é ausência de luz a escuridão e Lucy é o excesso de luz, o final com aquele branco angelical vindo de baixo e a escuridão vind de cima com o monstro é algo tão bonito. É um filme teatral nas performances, mas tão único na encenação. Uma mistura de quero te matar de prazer ou literalmente mesmo.

Might be a hot take, but somehow I liked this way less than the original 1922 version??? Something about this one that just doesn’t do it for me. Maybe it was the “fangs” on Dracula? He just looks kinda goofy, doesn’t seem that menacing. Still some great visuals, but overall pales in comparison to the OG in my humble opinion. I’m ready to succumb to the darkness of Robert Eggers’s version at the cinema in 3 days.

this is a very atmospheric movie, really captures the Gothic vibes of the story well. this iteration of Dracula (at least as far as movies called Nosferatu go) seems to me to be more tragic as you get a sense that being a vampire is a very lonely experience for. obvious reasons.( isabelle adajani is Stunning in this movie also )

It’s got some stellar moments, but unfortunately they’re few and far between. You just can't beat Schreck's Orlok. I’m excited for Eggers’ take on this classic!
