82/100 Check out superhero films ranked - https://boxd.it/mhnfG I love how John Constantine is basically the lord and saviour of DC when it comes to the ultimate bare bones and you could say Matt Ryan is the lord and saviour because this whole character is just him at this point. He did the live action, the character is modelled after him, he speaks his own accent I think, glad to see someone have total job security like that. This film actually surprised me, I’ve gotten bored of this Darkseid storyline and by making it more about the heroes, we got some really cool fight sequences, some sudden deaths, lots of magic and some emotional moments. The whole concept was excellent and preserving Superman to unleash him at the end made so much sense. Trigon being used for a good purpose other than tormenting his daughter was a good seed. Damien Wayne was given extra aura points which I didn’t quite like but we move. Batman was handled as best as he could have in such a scenario. WonderWoman was aura farming with dialogue.  Cyborg and Flash were hard done by but it’s really always them, they suffer and they suffered to the end here. The Cyborg Nebula display was actually sad to see and similarly we got many moments which suited the word “Dark” in the title, it’s definitely the most adult coded DC animated film I’ve seen and I’m glad they’re heading in that direction at least under the correct guidance. The use of Constantine always ensures some form of vulgarity will have to make it through and that’s why he’s quickly becoming one of my favourite characters. The Suicide Squad you could say stole the show here apart from John of course, all of them including Lois were carrying the attack and had some really fun lines and heartfelt moments, they made good use of these characters and their abilities. Also we have to talk about the abundance of kryptonite because how does everyone have the means to defeat Superman, fucking Krypton was destroyed and this element keeps spawning like gold everywhere, especially Luthor, man creates it out of thin air, this Superman abuse has got to stop man!

This is one of the most darkest films I've watched It's a great ending to the animated universe (dcamu) I really hope that they make more animated movies following up what happened at the end of this
