i was tired when i first started this, and fell asleep but that was my fault. actually watched it thru now and really enjoyed it. fun watch
The Harder They Fall
I was genuinely surprised at how much I actually enjoyed The Harder They Fall. Not knowing anything about the story going in, it was an intersting watch, especially since you don’t see many depictions of African Americans in westerns, so it was nice to actually have a film showing that they did exist in the culture during the time. That being said, I have seen people discuss the fact that this isn’t the story of these people, just Hollywood trying to bank off of black stories without truly representing who they are. It makes for a conflicting watch, since the film is very flashy and entertaining, but that can only go so far when the story isn’t being told right. Overall, The Harder They Fall is one of the more memorable westerns to come out recently, and is one that I’d give another chance, I just need to brush up on the history so I can go in knowing more about these people.
