Fracture
petit 3,5/5 parce que j'aurais aimé une fin plus "percutante"
Fracture
❝You look closely enough, you'll find that everything has a weak spot where it can break, sooner or later.❞ ۫ ׅ ⊹₊˚‧ ︵‿ ₊ ୨ ᰔ ୧ ₊ ‿︵ ‧˚₊⊹ ׅ ۫ I usually really like courtroom dramas, so while Fracture had some great moments it didn't particularly grip me any way. The plot is alright, but the film is mostly propped up by the stellar performances of its cast. Anthony Hopkins' cold and psychotic portrayal of Crawford contrasted well with the initally arrogant character of Willy (a stupid name I spent almost the entire film laughing at), played by Ryan Gosling. The pacing was a little odd, and around halfway through it felt like the story was really dragging, and consequently the ending was rushed to me. Overall, though, it's a decent film, and while I don't think I'd watch it again it was nice to see once.
Fracture
i love you wily.
Fracture
This is, like many legal thrillers, quite watchable. But that final twist is insanely dumb. Yes, part of it relies on a convenient suicide, but the basic idea that Crawford would be smart enough to plan all of this, while simultaneously being too stupid to understand an extremely basic part of the concept of Double Jeopardy is absolutely ridiculous. Emotionally satisfying though it may be, the solution is ridiculous. Fun watch though!
