Glad this left some of the macho-action behind in the first film and fully embraced its heist narrative with a new location, a fresher team, and a surprisingly strong bromance between Butler and Jackson Jr. Tense procedural heist movies are back. I can also see the influence of Le Trou here. I thought I had it good with Gerard slurping a bottle of pepto in the first film, but here do we not only get him in party mode–literally drugged up and drunk out of his mind–but we also get to behold the sight of him hounding back a croissant in good old France.

just doesn’t have the same spark as the first one just one hour and fifty five minutes of nothing and 10 minutes of gnarly heist shit Butler screaming Fuck NATO was a highlight though so it gets a heart from me
