Three Outlaw Samurai

One of my few mistakes was having not heard of Gosha's fantastic debut long before I first watched it. An incredibly unique entry in the genre for its examination of bushido, impressive fight choreography for its time, and a sympathetic tale of three different samurai (Tamba being the best of the three, with a great performance as Sakon Shiba) choosing justice (for peasants wanting less strain on their life and finances from strict taxation) over loyalty to the harsh magistrate.
