Okay, this movie is epic.

ai, sinceramente, o conceito é brabo, mas a execução? tá mt cagada. o drama com a Muri tinha tudo pra me quebrar, e até conseguiu um pouco, mas o filme não sustenta. jogam ideia boa atrás de ideia boa, e nenhuma respira. o final parece sorteio. eu assisti feito uma doida, mas terminei meio “era isso??” (extra: chris pratt pai de uma nação, amo esse homem)

While not a masterpiece in filmmaking by any means, I did enjoy this movie. Yes, there are some nonsensical plot points and poor dialogue and subpar VFX here and there. My biggest complaint was the beginning/opening; why start your movie with a big “holy fuck” moment and then just show that moment again later in the movie?? Totally ruins the surprise! Nevertheless, I had a good time. It’s an easy watch, has a nice balance between action and “boring talking parts”, and I was intrigued for most of the film. Don’t set your expectations too high, just enjoy this for what it just is.

this reminds of that wave of alien invasion films in the early 10s. in premise and in quality. the only difference between this and say something like skyline is it has a bigger budget and chris pratt. and not much else to show for all the money. feels lazy, and trite. you’d do better to continue your 4th of july tradition of watching independence day or dazed and confused. or, if you’re dead set on something similar but superior, i humbly suggest the edge of tomorrow.

La guerra del mañana tiene toques tensos, entretenidos y emotivos donde el desarrollo de personajes logra entablar una efectiva historia de ciencia ficción, si bien todo el trayecto que recorren los personajes es el correcto, es imposible no darse cuenta que la película le sobra casi 30 minutos donde realmente se vuelve redundante y donde cada cosa que atraviesan los personajes se ve demasiados sobre explicado y facilista, es entendible que la película le haga falta un gran momento épico donde haya una gran confrontación pero alargar la trama innecesariamente para llegar a eso deja en el piso el hype en la película.

I thought this was gonna be just a big dumb sci-fi movie a la Michael Bay but it actually proved me wrong...it was an overly dramatic sci-fi movie a la Emmerich but with a better budget and a better cast.
