Peninsula

"I'm sorry for making you live in this world" After the animated prequel Seoul Station and now Peninsula, I'm strongly of the belief the Train to Busan franchise should have only ever been just Train to Busan. Really feels like lightning in a bottle that won't ever be captured in the same place The Only reason I have any shred of hope for the American remake of Busan is the director (Timo Tjahjanto) did incredible work with The Night Comes For Us, the May The Devil Take You franchise, and "Safe Haven" the one good segment of V/H/S/2

Peninsula

While there were some cool action sequenes, Peninsula lacks the emotional depth and tight vision that Train to Busan had, leaving it feeling lackluster overall. The CG car scenes were pretty laughable, especially after having a particularly strong sequence in the mall. The characters were just okay this time around, with them not being flushed out enough to genuinely care about their demise. I was really looking forward to this one, especially after seeing the trailer, and knowing that it was a spiritual sequel to Train to Busan, which is one of the better zombie films as of late. It’s still an entertaining watch, but nothing that I will be ranting and raving about.

Peninsula

❝Survival is the only rule left.❞ 𐄁─────⋆⁺‧₊☽ ◯ ☾₊‧⁺⋆─────𐄁 Peninsula is nowhere near as good as its predecessor, but it's still a lot of fun. It's a bit less serious and way more Mad Max, which I love (not as big on the CGI, though), and though the plot is muddled in areas, there are some great moments (e.g. the humans vs zombies colosseum-esque battles). I think what sets Train to Busan apart are the well-written emotional scenes, which are also what a lot of people find the most memorable about it. Peninsula is missing a lot of sadness, though it does certainly try, and that may be part of why it was not received as well. I'll be honest, I started watching this for Koo Kyo-hwan, and he was brilliant, but on the whole the cast did the best they could with the script. So, don't let the negative reviews put you off from watching this, and give it a go; at the very least you'll get to see Kyo-hwan and Gang Dong-won.

Peninsula

La ejecución en peninsula no se acerca al trabajo echo en train tu busain, la secuela o sping off desarrollada acosta de un éxito del género de zombies recae en un genérico y plástico film de carreras de coches y clichés dramáticos complemente sin sentido.
