Idk how to react with this movie actually, it's like a rollercoaster that really fast changing my mood while watching it. I hate everybody in this movie even the police itself (except Chen and Bei). They're struggling in this cruel and shitty world, but complete each other. Stop bullying and ruined someone mental health. It's disgusting. *np. I hope i had a shadow too to protect me.

Revenge may seem normal to most people. anjg, fucked up banget. the pressure of final exams in China is really challenging as fuck. but with that suffering!? idk can i pass it honestly. the last 45 minutes so intense. argghhhh fuckkk aint no "better days" here goddamnit.

Close ups of Jackson Yee’s face every other minute is a yes from me ......actual thoughts at the time: good cinematography, good acting, good topic, realistic development, but overall too messy and melodramatic. messy in plot and in style — this movie can’t seem to decide if it wants to be an indie arthouse film or a high school romance drama. the script is too on the nose; too much explanation, no emotional and narrative nuance. too melodramatic — the soundtracks took away from the poignant scenes and certain shots seem to be for the sake of the shot; too many cheesy dialogues.

Better Days não é um filme fácil e nem tenta ser. É pesado, desconfortável e, ao mesmo tempo, extremamente necessário. A história mergulha no bullying e na pressão absurda que jovens enfrentam, mostrando como esse ambiente pode destruir alguém aos poucos. A Chen Nian é o centro disso tudo: uma protagonista silenciosa, mas incrivelmente forte, que só quer sobreviver a um sistema que parece indiferente à dor dela. O relacionamento com o Xiao Bei é o coração do filme, mas não de um jeito romantizado. É mais sobre proteção do que sobre romance duas pessoas quebradas tentando, do jeito que dá, encontrar algum tipo de segurança uma na outra. O empoderamento aqui não vem de grandes discursos, mas da resistência. De continuar existindo mesmo quando tudo empurra você pra baixo. E isso torna tudo ainda mais impactante. Visualmente, o filme também pesa: câmera próxima, quase sufocante, fazendo você sentir cada momento junto com os personagens. No fim, Better Days não te deixa confortável ele te obriga a olhar pra uma realidade dura que muita gente prefere ignorar. E talvez seja exatamente por isso que ele é tão marcante.

Indispensable para el tema que aborda y desgarradora por las desiciones que toma de principio a fin Better Day lucha por alertar sobre el bullying y sus repercusiones desde el punto de vista mas extremo y realista. Si bien la película no busca hablarnos de una historia de amor imposible el adorno sentimental está perfectamente ejecutado y es un trampolín narrativo para acuñarnos un par de temas adicionales que caben de manera indicada en la película.
