Intimate and real but deeply awkward. Lovely little film but leaves me wanting more of a resolution by the end. I love how it's shot like a documentary 90% of the time. It helps with that intimate and real feeling. Damn touching soundtrack too!

What I love most about John Carney's works, especially Once, is the fact that he never insist the two of the main character in each of his films to be a couple. They're there just to fill each other's emptiness, heal wounds, and convince each other to fight for their happiness. It's so beautiful. Magical ✨
